Majoring and Working as an Entrepreneur – Brandon Frazin

I wanted to get a feel for what it is like to study entrepreneurship as opposed to working at an entrepreneurial company, therefore I decided to interview one of our interns, Brandon Frazin from Syracuse University:

Q: What is your educational background?

(A): At Syracuse University and majored in both Psychology with dual minors in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises as well as Philosophy. I also graduated with honors (cum laude) with a GPA of 3.5.

Q: What are some of the more pertinent to small business and entrepreneurship lessons that you learned in school?

(A) Frazin: As an entrepreneur, you have to continually think outside the box, looked to innovate and differentiate yourself from the group which is a crucial facet to becoming a successful entrepreneur.Q: After working at a smaller entrepreneurial company, what have you learned and what do you feel are some key points regarding small business success in entrepreneurship?

(A) Frazin: I think you need to know online marketing facets such as generic search engine optimization, back links and its relation to search engine ranking pages or (SERP’s) and for branding purposes. I think it is important that there is some sort of repetition to the website visitor both on and off the website to gain name recognition in your industry.

Q: If you had to open a company right now, what field would you go into?

(A) Frazin: Online marketing. I feel that my expertise in all facets about digital marketing, online marketing as well as media leverage to drive revenue for an organization is a strong point and something that I can turn to and rely on for the remainder of my career.

Q: What are some tips you would suggest to those looking to really focus on entrepreneurship?

(A) Frazin: Your environment. Get a high quality chair and a high quality desk. Ensure your computer is fast enough to allow focus. Avoid distractions. If you must listen to something, listen to concentration music or study-focused playlists. And get yourself a nice set of speakers. Check out thisĀ Edifier R1700bt Review on AAV Studio.
